What data do we collect?

LCA collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name & email address)

  • Information which identifies the companies you work for & which region of the country you operate or are based in.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide LCA with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register to become a member of the Live Comedy Association.

  • Voluntarily complete a customer or member survey or via email.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

The Live Comedy Association collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your membership application and make sure we know which members of the steering group to put you directly in touch with (e.g. those for your region & area of the industry)

  • Email you with industry updates & news.

The LCA will never share or sell your data with any other companies or organisations.

How do we store your data?

The LCA securely stores your data on a secure shared drive, with access only given to the current steering group members, who may only use this date for LCA activities.

The LCA will keep your date for four years after you register as a member. Once this time period has expired, we will contact you to either authorise us to extend this period by another four years, or to delete your data. If we cannot contact you, your date will automatically be deleted.

Marketing

The Live Comedy Association would like to send you information about the comedy industry, along with the LCA’s campaigns, fundraising, and opportunities for the network.

If you have agreed to receive marketing (by opting in during your membership registration), you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop the LCA from contacting you for marketing purposes.

What are your data protection rights?

The LCA would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request the LCA for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that the LCA correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request the LCA to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that the Live Comedy Association erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that the LCA restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the LCA’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that the LCA transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
